1. What This Site Is
over-dose.org (the "Site") is a fan-built, non-commercial browser portal that hosts a static landing page and embeds the playable Ren'Py web build of OVERD0SE from the developer's mirror at s.over-dose.org. The Site is a convenience wrapper - it does not host, modify, or redistribute the game itself. All in-game art, characters, story, and the game engine are the work of the original creator of OVERD0SE.
2. Fan Project, Not Official
This Site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the original creator of OVERD0SE. It is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project. The OVERD0SE name, the OVERD0SE logo, all in-game art, character names, character likenesses, the patient chart designs, the dialogue, the storyline, and the Ren'Py web build are the property of their respective owners. The Site does not claim any ownership of the game or any of its assets.
3. Use Of The Site
You may use the Site to play OVERD0SE in your browser, to read information about the game, and to share the Site with other fans. You may not:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to interfere with the Site's operation, security, or availability.
- Scrape, mirror, or republish the Site's content in a way that implies affiliation with the original creator of OVERD0SE.
- Use the Site if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction and the local law restricts access to mature horror content.
4. Content Warnings
OVERD0SE is a psychological horror visual novel. It contains mature content including but not limited to: jumpscares, blood, death, murder, suicide, self-harm, gore, medical horror, body horror, implied physical abuse, substance abuse, needles, screen shaking, flashing lights, psychological horror, drugging, stalking, obsessive behavior, kidnapping, confinement, and implication of animal cruelty. The Site is intended for mature audiences. If you are sensitive to any of these themes, do not play the game. If you start playing and the content becomes uncomfortable, stop and step away.
5. No Warranty
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Site does not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the embedded player will work in every browser configuration.
6. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site maintainer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, the embedded game, or any linked third-party content.
7. Third-Party Links & Embeds
The Site embeds the playable build from s.over-dose.org and may link to the developer's itch.io page, the developer's social channels, and other third-party resources. The Site is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third party. Clicking those links or loading those embeds is at your own risk and subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policies.
8. Takedown
If you are the original creator of OVERD0SE and you want the Site taken down, rebranded, or have specific content removed, see the Contact page. The Site will respect any verified request within 7 days.
9. Changes To These Terms
The Site may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Site maintainer's place of business, without regard to conflict of law principles.
